FIRST WBC FEMALE DIAMOND
WORLD TITLE FOR HONGKONG

28 Jun 2018

Two stellar women - representing Great Britain and Thailand - will contest the WBC Muaythai Female Diamond World Championship in Hongkong on August 15.

The event promoted by Eastern Warring Dragon (EWD) as the main attraction will
feature the premier match-up Ruth Ashdown (Great Britain) against Sirisopa Sirisaka(Thailand) in the featherweight division (57.1 kg.).

Ashdown has been an exceptional woman fighter for the past two decades (W38-L8-
D2) and she will challenged by aggressive and experienced Sirisopa (W59-L4-D2).

EWD Promoter Song Ke said staging the first Female Diamond World Championship
in Hongkong would enhance the reputation of Muaythai across greater China as the
most prestigious world-class, stand-up combat sport.

This first-ever WBC Muaythai Female Diamond World is only the third WBC Diamond Green Belt to be staged in the 17 years history of the WBC Muaythai.

The two current WBCMT Diamond belt champions are Saenchai PK Saenchai and Buakaw
Banchamek.

The Hongkong event would also feature two EWD championships under full
WBCMT rules, as well as elimination contests for rankings under the rules and
regulations of the WBC Asian Boxing Council.
