Congratulations to Youssef Boughanem on retaining his coveted World Boxing Council MuayThai middleweight world title on last night?s PSM Fight Night in Brussels.

The Belgian/Moroccan fighter took home the victory via a 4th round TKO victory over his challenger, England?s Joe Craven.

The contest started off very competitively with both combatants having moments of productive aggression in the opening stanza.

As the fight progressed into the latter rounds, the champion edged ahead with his intensive walk-forward style landing some razor sharp elbows and body-kicks to suppress the attacks of Craven.

The beginning of the end came in the 4th round as Youssef unleashed a relentless onslaught, forcing the referee to call a halt to the contest, and in doing so, the champion once again reigned supreme.

On behalf of the entire team at the WBC we would like to congratulate Youssef and his team on yet another night of WBC glory.

The last words are for Joe Craven: you took the fight without a moment of hesitation, and put in a resilient performance against one the greatest elite MuayThai fighters of this era, and for that we salute you...your time at the top will come.
