Earlier this week, on Monday, May 10, the team at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium held a blessing ceremony to usher in a new era at the stadium, with many progressive changes being implemented toward the betterment of the sport of MuayThai.

The ceremony was hosted by the stadium’s director, also in attendance was Khun Poramate Pakdeekiri Phiwan, the director of the Boxing Board of Control, at the Sports Authority of Thailand.

Pending government restrictions, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the first show is scheduled for May 29.

History will be made when the first-ever female MuayThai action takes place at the stadium, for the WBC MuayThai mini-flyweight world title and Lumpinee Stadium mini-flyweight title, in a sensational unification title fight, between two of Thailand’s rising stars of the sport.

We are also delighted to see our dear friend Paulo Kawai be appointed as the International Manager for the stadium’s operations in collaboration with the stadium’s International broadcast partners, Gosport.
