Friday, February 10, 2023: The WBC MuayThai is delighted to announce Colonel Thanapol Bhakdibhumi as the new president of the WBC MuayThai, taking over the position from WBC MuayThai founder, Police General Kovid Bhakdibhumi.
The handover ceremony was presided over by World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman this week at the WBC offices in Bangkok and attended by many promoters, WBC MuayThai members, and friends from Thailand and around the world.
We would like to publicly thank General Kovid for his dedication, passion, and service to the sport and culture of MuayThai — thanks to his leadership — the WBC MuayThai plays a vital role in promoting MuayThai sport and culture across the globe.
