Today, a delegation from the WBC MuayThai and the World Boxing Council (WBC), led by Royal Thai Army Major General Thanapol Bhakdibhumi, met with Thailand’s newly appointed Minister of Sports and Tourism, Khun Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, to discuss final preparations for the upcoming WBC Global Convention, which will take place from November 30 to December 5, 2025, at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel.

This landmark event will unite the global boxing and MuayThai communities in Thailand’s vibrant capital for a week-long celebration of sport, culture, and collaboration. The convention will feature a dynamic lineup of meetings, workshops, fight nights, and special events, highlighting the shared values and spirit of the combat sports world.
Major General Thanapol Bhakdibhumi emphasized the importance of the event, noting that it presents a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the global MuayThai family—while also strengthening ties with the world of boxing under the WBC banner.

The WBC Global Convention will serve as a platform to showcase the strength, unity, and growth of the WBC MuayThai community. A full week of exciting activities and events is planned, including:
