Harry Purvis of Northern Kings Gym delivered a determined and intelligent performance tonight to become the Nai Khanom Tom Super Middleweight Challenge Champion, defeating Thailand’s Parinya Palee of the FA Group at Victory Promotions in Newcastle.

The opening rounds saw both fighters testing each other with heavy low kicks to the calves and thighs. Palee showcased his trademark Thai timing, firing sharp high kicks and body attacks, while Purvis replied with strong teeps and crisp boxing combinations. By the end of the second round, Palee appeared slightly ahead, using his composure and balance to edge the exchanges.

In round three, the fight ignited as both men engaged in fierce boxing exchanges. Palee landed powerful body kicks, but Purvis responded with effective punches, knees, and a clean elbow that opened a cut on the Thai’s face.

Rounds four and five belonged to Purvis, who surged forward with relentless pressure, mixing combinations to the head and body, spinning elbows, and stabbing teeps that kept Palee on the back foot. His work rate and precision earned him a unanimous decision victory on all judges’ scorecards.

A brilliant performance from Purvis, who showed heart, strategy, and resilience to claim the Nai Khanom Tom Super Middleweight Challenge title against a world-class opponent.
