Japan’s Ryuya Okuwaki successfully defended his WBC MuayThai World Flyweight title for the second time, earning a hard-fought split decision victory over Thailand’s Detchphichai NavyAndaman at the BOM MuayThai event in Yokohama.
In what proved to be a closely contested and highly competitive bout, both fighters displayed exceptional skill, determination, and heart across the contest. Okuwaki utilized sharp technique and ring control, while Detchphichai responded with strong counters and relentless pressure, keeping the outcome in doubt until the final bell.
After the conclusion of the bout, the judges returned split scorecards reading 47-48, 48-47, and 48-47 in favor of Okuwaki, reflecting just how evenly matched the contest was.
With this victory, Okuwaki secures his second successful defense of the prestigious WBC MuayThai World Flyweight title, further solidifying his position among the elite in the division.
