Jersey’s Kimberley Noel produced a determined and courageous performance to capture the WBC MuayThai English Ladies Featherweight Championship, overcoming fellow top-five contender Jane Iske by unanimous decision after five fiercely contested rounds.
From the opening bell, Iske imposed her game plan with powerful boxing combinations, punishing low kicks, and body kicks that immediately put Noel under pressure. The London fighter controlled the early exchanges, forcing the Jersey native to dig deep.
Noel responded with tremendous resilience, closing the distance and taking the contest into the clinch where she landed a series of sharp, straight knees that gradually shifted the momentum in her favour.
The championship rounds showcased Noel at her best. She pressed forward relentlessly, delivering clean body kicks, head kicks, and a varied attack of knees and elbows in the clinch. Even after suffering a cut across the nose from Iske, Noel refused to be denied, maintaining her composure and work rate until the final bell.
After five rounds of high-level MuayThai, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Kimberley Noel, crowning her the new WBC MuayThai English Ladies Featherweight Champion.
