Justin Davy is the new WBC MuayThai English Super Lightweight Champion after delivering a commanding performance at the historic Royal Opera House in St. Helier, Jersey.
Standing opposite the Jersey favourite was the ever-determined Russ Hayes of Warrington, who pressed forward relentlessly throughout all five rounds. Hayes launched a wide variety of attacks in an effort to break Davy’s rhythm, but the newly crowned champion had an answer for everything.
From the opening bell, Davy showcased the qualities of a true champion. His exceptional timing, technical precision, and intelligent footwork consistently neutralized Hayes’ offence while creating opportunities of his own. Powerful kicks, both as attacking weapons and perfectly timed counters, allowed Davy to steadily build a commanding lead on the judges’ scorecards.
As the fight entered the championship rounds, Hayes’ corner urged him to increase the pressure and deny Davy the space he had been using so effectively. Rather than unsettling the Jersey fighter, the tactic brought out another dimension of his skill. Displaying outstanding awareness and composure, Davy slipped heavy boxing combinations before firing back with sharp punches and devastating kick combinations that thrilled the crowd.

After five impressive rounds, all three judges returned identical scorecards of 50-45, awarding Justin Davy a unanimous decision victory and crowning him the new WBC MuayThai English Super Lightweight Champion.
