Wednesday, July 7, 2021: The Summer Olympics are just over a month away in Japan, with the world of sports set to descend on Tokyo, but for this coming weekend, the sport of MuayThai takes center stage in the city of Nagoya where a host of established and rising stars of the sport will showcase their fighting skills.

The WBC MuayThai Japanese welterweight title will be a prize up for grabs when former champion Yuya Yamoto faces off against Ryota Nakona for the domestic championship strap.

In the second championship showdown, Masashi Yamato will clash with Eiji Yoshida for the WBC MuayThai super-welterweight title in a matchup between two of the country’s top 154 pounders.

Also, set to feature on the event, is former WBC MuayThai super-lightweight world champion Tetsuya Yamato, who fight on the events showpiece encounter against Taplon Hardest.
