Sunday, July 11, 2021: A sensational MuayThai Gala was today hosted in the Japanese city of Nagoya with a host of famous MuayThai stars and rising domestic fighters on the show.

The event featured two WBC MuayThai Japan national titles with the vacant Japanese super-welterweight and welterweight titles up for grabs.

In the super-welterweight championship showdown, Masashi Yamato faces off against Yoshiro Tsuzuki. The former captured the title with a 2nd round stoppage, via a sensational knockout punch.

Ryota Nakano took home the welterweight title after he unleashed a fight-ending barrage of leg kicks in the midst of the second in his national title showdown with Yuya Yamato.

It was a fantastic night of glory for Masashi’s team as his coach and mentor retired from training fighters at their gym, after 50-years in charge — to celebrate the win, Masashi was announced as the new head trainer of his storied gym.

Everyone at the WBC MuayThai congratulates both new champions and their teams for their night of success.
