In 2001, our WBC MuayThai president had a passionate idea with his dear friend and WBC President Jose Sulaiman to introduce the iconic green & gold of the WBC into the sport of MuayThai.
The difficulty as to how to do so without diluting the sport and culture of MuayThai was not a difficult task as Pol. General Kovid Bhakdibhumi had always been passionate about his countries national sport.
The first WBC MuayThai championships commenced in 2005. In 2021, we have 78 countries and territories as part of the WBC MuayThai global family supporting and growing the sport of culture of MuayThai under the dynamic leadership and guidance of President Bhakdibhumi.
MuayThai is the people’s sport.
