Wednesday, September 6, 2021: The team behind the successful MuayThai GrandPrix Australia promotion is ready to host their climatic event of 2021 on Saturday the 30th of October at Perth’s Curtain Stadium.
The show will feature a host of the region’s finest MuayThai talent set to showcase their MuayThai fighting skills under the bright lights of the MTGP Australia promotional banner. Three WBC MuayThai Western Australia State title contests will take place at the event.
The vacant WBC MuayThai WA State middleweight title will be on the line when Lukas Sayer from Diesel Gym faces off against Riley Anastasia from Riddlers Gym.
The last time these two met was in 2019 in a sensational showdown that ended in a KO victory for Lukas. Riley has had a great run of form since that loss, and the time is now right to set up the hotly-anticipated rematch.
In yet another mouth-watering matchup, Moo Doh, fighting out of The Pit Gym, will clash with Jason Tran for the vacant WBC MuayThai Western Australia super-bantamweight title.
Doh, the current bantamweight state champ, moved up a weight division in his quest to become a two-weight WBC MuayThai champion. Tran, trained out of AMMA Gym, will look to spoil the party for Doh in becoming a two-time WBC champion.
In the last — but not least — of three title showdowns, the vacant WBC MuayThai Western Australia lightweight title is the prize on the line when Nathan Embelton challenges Eh Kaw Lwe Tae.
Aggressive ThaiBoxing trained Embelton, building himself quite the reputation, will face a stern test when he goes up against AMMA prepared Tae for regional green & gold glory.
