Steve McKinnon is a former WBC MuayThai super-cruiserweight world champion. He first earned the coveted title on June 20th, 2008, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where he defeated Surinamese-Dutch fighter, Ashwin Balrak, to become WBC champion of the world.
McKinnon went on to defend his title three times, over four-years, defeating formidable opponents from Brazil, France and Spain, along the way.
The Australian’s career spanned a total of 17-years in which he faced off against some of the best in the business. He retired from professional fighting in 2017. Steve remains a wonderful and proud ambassador for the World Boxing Council as a former WBC MuayThai world champion.
