Sunday, October 9, 2022: Rebellion MuayThai, a stalwart of MuayThai promoting in Australia, the brainchild of Sy Nadji, and a promotion which changed the landscape of combat sports in Melbourne, will next month host not one, but two fantastic matchups; the bonus is that both contests will be for WBC MuayThai world titles.

A pound-for-pound star, Brazil’s Barbara Aguiar, based out of Phuket Fight Club, the #1 world-ranked super-bantamweight will clash against Australia’s silent assassin, and #1 world-ranked bantamweight, Joanne La, the prize on the line will be the coveted WBC MuayThai bantamweight world championship strap.

Will the Brazilian trailblazer prevail or can the Aussie lioness shine bright like a Diamond? Both ladies are coming off a string of big victories.

This is the biggest test for Joanne, she has wrecked havoc on the Aussie MuayThai scene — up to this point in time — a feared Aguiar will stand opposite here next month in what is simply a mouth-watering matchup.

An intriguing matchup comes next: one of Thailand’s top super-lightweights, YodIQ PK Saenchai, yes he fights out of the famed PK Saenchai gym in southern Bangkok, will square off against the shark, aka Chadd Collins. This will be Collin’s third proverbially bite (pun intended) at the WBC MuayThai world title, having just come up shorts twice, against Luis Cajaiba and Satanfaa Sitsongpeenong, both fights took place at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.

A dip in form followed, and Collins dropped out of the WBC MuayThai top ten world rankings. But not to sink, he swam again, under the guidance of the great Mark Pease, victories came, both in the land down under and most recently; in the land of the rising sun, the most recent victory saw the WBC MuayThai world ranking committee place Collins back in the top ten…..here we go…..the Aussie shark has a huge army of domestic and International fans supporting him going into this clash of titans.

The question is this, can Chadd Collins overcome the ring intellect of YodIQ? Fact: yes he can! But will he, find out on November 26 on Rebellion MuayThai in Melbourne?

No easy task lies ahead for all four world title protagonists, may the best fighters win — in both contests.
