Saturday, October 7, 2023: After a sensational five round war we have a new WBC MuayThai super-bantamweight world champion as Italy’s Francesco Sotgiu sealed a unanimous points victory over then reigning champion Ryan Sheehan in the main event of today’s Siam Warriors MuayThai show in Cork City, Ireland.
Francesco put in the performance of a lifetime and his dream to become and WBC world champion has finally come through. Ryan, coming back after a long lay off will be back after this loss. But, today is Francesco’s day.
