Sagetdao Petpayathai is a former WBC MuayThai super-lightweight world champion. He won the world title on June 9th, 2012, in Bangkok, Thailand, where he defeated French fighter Sofiane Dergdega, via a third round TKO victory.
In 2011, the Thai superstar defeated America’s Kevin Ross to claim the WBC MuayThai super-lightweight interim title. In 2013, Sagetdao would make his return to California to defend his WBC world title where he squared off against Japan’s Tetsuya Yamato, again winning in impressive fashion, via a technical stoppage, in the 4th round.
Sagetdao is one of the most iconic elite MuayThai fighters of the mid 2000’s, winning a host of elite stadium accolades. He is a former two-weight champion of Lumpinee stadium, and a former champion of Rajadamnern stadium. The WBC MuayThai is honored to have him as a former World Boxing Council MuayThai champion of the world.
