Sunday, August 3, 2025: Sydney — Australia’s “Smiling Assassin” Charlie Bubb has once again proven why he sits atop the global MuayThai elite, successfully defending his WBC World Light Heavyweight Title for the second time with a dominant points victory over England’s Daniel Bonner at 1774 Muay Thai Series 13.
Facing a formidable Bonner, Bubb put on a masterful display of skill, control, and ringcraft across five rounds. The judges returned scorecards of 50-43, 50-45, and 50-45 — a clear testament to Bubb’s superior performance from start to finish.
Following the bout, Bubb expressed his ambitions to ascend to the Cruiserweight division in 2026, where he aims to challenge reigning WBC World Champion Chip Pollard in pursuit of two-division world championship glory.
