Thailand’s Anuwat Kaewsamrit is a former WBC MuayThai featherweight world champion. The fighter known as The iron hands of Siam for his intense punching power, overcame his compatriot, Singtongnoi Por Telakun, on October 19th, 2006, to claim the vacant world title.
The fight was one of the most talked about contests of 2006, at the famed elite MuayThai stadium, Anuwat was victorious via a third round stoppage. The fight was hosted by legendary promoter, Songchai Rattanasuban.
The Kaewsamrit gym warrior is a former five-weight champion of Rajadamnern stadium, a former champion of Lumpinee stadium and a former champion of Omnoi stadium. He is also a two-time winner of the prestigious Sports Writers fighter of the year award.
