The Book of Knowledge Opens in Hong Kong

This past weekend in Hong Kong, the spirit of learning and development was on full display as Ajarn Parin led a comprehensive two-day WBC MuayThai Ring Officials Workshop, bringing together aspiring referees and judges from across the region.

The workshop, fittingly titled “The Book of Knowledge,” delivered an in-depth and practical education covering all key aspects of officiating in MuayThai — from the responsibilities and positioning of referees in the ring, to the precision, consistency, and integrity required in judging bouts at the highest standard.

Participants were guided through real-world scenarios, technical frameworks, and the core principles that define WBC MuayThai officiating, ensuring that the next generation of ring officials are equipped with both the knowledge and confidence to perform at an elite level.

This important initiative reflects WBC MuayThai’s ongoing commitment to the global development of the sport, with a strong emphasis on education, consistency, and professionalism across all regions.

Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and engagement throughout the workshop.

Special thanks to Bruce Chueng and his team for their outstanding hosting and organisation, ensuring a successful and impactful event for everyone involved.

The future of MuayThai officiating continues to grow — one page at a time.
