Shane Del Rosario (RIP) is a former two-time WBC MuayThai heavyweight world champion. Shane first become WBC MuayThai champion of world when he defeated Dutch fighter, Ricardo Van Den Bos, via a second KO victory, on September 8th, 2007, at a WCK promoter event in California, USA.
In early 2008, Shane lost his title to Ginty Vrede (RIP). Shane would later challenge Mexico’s Raul Romero for the vacant WBC MuayThai heavyweight world title in Las Vegas. Shane became a WBC world champion for the second time after winning via yet another knockout victory, a win that was witnessed by the late WBC President, Jose Sulaiman.
In 2013, the WBC and the entire fight world were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Shane. He passed away on December 9th. Shane will be fondly remembered as the first American to win a WBC MuayThai world title.
