Malta’s Ahweafa Garenne captured the WBC MuayThai Professional Female Mini-Flyweight European championship with a unanimous decision victory over Italy’s Elisabetta Solinas at the MTGP Malta event in Ta’ Qali, Malta.
Competing in front of an enthusiastic home crowd at the Ta’ Qali Basketball Pavilion, Garenne delivered an impressive performance throughout the contest, showcasing strong technique, composure, and determination against the experienced Italian challenger. Solinas also produced a spirited performance in a competitive European championship encounter between two talented athletes.
Following the completion of all rounds, the judges awarded Garenne the unanimous decision victory, crowning her the new WBC MuayThai Professional Female Mini-Flyweight European champion.
The championship bout took place on May 16, 2026, as part of the MTGP Malta promotion organised by Calvin Dean Caruana Triccas and his team.
