Yokohama, Japan – August 2, 2026

BOM Promotion hosted an exciting evening of championship Muay Thai at Osanbashi Hall in Yokohama, Japan, featuring one WBC Muay Thai Japan Championship and one WBC Muay Thai World Championship contest.

The WBC Muay Thai Japan Lightweight Championship brought together two elite competitors as defending champion Renta Wor Wanchai faced long-time rival Ramu in a highly anticipated title bout.

The contest began at a fast pace, with both fighters showcasing high-level technical skills in a closely contested opening two rounds. Neither athlete was able to establish a clear advantage as they exchanged powerful strikes and demonstrated excellent ring craft.

The fight reached its dramatic conclusion in the third round when Ramu landed a perfectly timed elbow that immediately created an opening. He followed with a devastating high kick while Renta attempted to respond with punches, sending the champion to the canvas. After assessing the situation, the referee waved off the contest, awarding Ramu the victory by knockout.

The win marks a memorable moment in Ramu’s career, as he finally avenged his previous defeats to Renta. Having lost their two earlier meetings, Ramu delivered an outstanding performance when it mattered most to capture the WBC Muay Thai Japan Lightweight Championship and become the new national champion.

Congratulations to Ramu on an impressive championship victory and a well-earned title after an exceptional performance in Yokohama.
