May 17, 2026: WBC MuayThai Greater China successfully hosted its Beijing Regional Points Tournament on May 16, 2026, in Beijing, China, continuing the organization’s strong development of youth MuayThai throughout the region.
The event featured a total of 40 bouts and welcomed more than 80 youth and junior MuayThai athletes ranging in age from approximately 7 to 17 years old. A total of 12 gyms participated in the tournament, demonstrating the steadily growing interest and participation in MuayThai across the Greater China region.

The tournament was officially approved and supported by Aku Zhang, Chairman of WBC MuayThai Greater China, with the Beijing regional officiating team overseeing the event to ensure smooth operations throughout the competition.
WBC MuayThai Greater China emphasized that athlete safety and fairness remain central principles of all its events, ensuring that every competitor has the opportunity to compete in a safe, standardized, and professionally regulated environment.
This tournament marked the second WBC MuayThai Greater China points event held in Beijing during 2026. Compared to the January event earlier this year, participation numbers increased significantly, with more than 10 additional athletes and an increase of four to five participating gyms. Organizers also noted clear improvements in the technical abilities, discipline, and mindset of many returning young athletes, reflecting the positive impact of continued training and competition opportunities.

WBC MuayThai Greater China reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing development of MuayThai throughout Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau, with a strong focus on youth development and creating future world-class athletes through structured competition and education.
