The WBC MuayThai Ring Officials Committee wishes to address the scoring of the recent WBC MuayThai European Super-welterweight title contest between champion Adam Wadha and challenger Levi Bailey, which took place on April 19, 2025, in Liverpool, England.

Following a thorough review of the contest, the Bangkok-based WBC MuayThai Ring Officials Committee appointed four of its senior ring officials to independently score the bout. All four officials, without prior consultation or influence, scored the contest four rounds to one in favor of the blue corner fighter, Levi Bailey.

The official scoring on the night, conducted by the independently appointed WMTA (World MuayThai Association UK) ring officials, resulted in the following:

Official Master sheet

Judge 1: 49-49 (Draw)

Judge 2: 47-50 (in favor of Levi Bailey)

Judge 3: 48-48 (Draw)

It is the view of the WBC MuayThai Ring Officials Committee that Judge 1 and Judge 3 failed in their duty to accurately assess and score the bout according to the established principles and criteria of MuayThai judging. Judges hold the responsibility of ensuring justice in the ring, and expert competency must be consistently maintained to protect the integrity of the sport and the athletes who dedicate their lives to it.

The WBC MuayThai will continue to emphasize the importance of high-level officiating, and where necessary, advocate for further education and review processes to uphold the standards expected of WBC MuayThai sanctioned contests.

We reaffirm our commitment to excellence, transparency, and fairness in the officiating of all WBC MuayThai events.

As a result the findings, the WBC MuayThai officially overturns the result to a No Contest, Adam Wadha remains WBC MuayThai super-welterweight European champion.
