Bishop Remedios is the new WBC Amateur MuayThai USA Light-Heavyweight Champion after edging Jake Kelly via a split points decision on the Freedom Fighters show in Philadelphia.
The two athletes produced a closely contested championship encounter, with little separating them across the rounds as both fought hard for the prestigious green and gold title.
When the judges’ scorecards were announced, it was Remedios who received the split decision victory, securing the WBC Amateur MuayThai USA light-heavyweight championship.
